PML-N dissatisfied with progress on 10-point agenda
PML-N Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who chaired the party's consultative meeting here at the Punjab House, directed the four-member committee, headed by Senator Ishaq Dar, to ensure that all points of the agenda were implemented within the 45-day deadline.
"Any extension to the deadline of implementing the agenda will not be in national interests," he maintained. The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Raja Zafarul Haq, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Abdul Qadar Baloch and others. It reviewed the progress made so far on the implementation of the 10-point agenda.
The meeting observed that there were some points in the agenda on which concrete steps could be ensured, but neither any progress in this regard was seen and nor any announcement had been made by the government.
The PML-N spokesman said the meeting participants observed that progress on implementation of the agenda was very slow. The meeting directed the committee members to work day and night and give priority to the agenda and ensure that all demands of the PML-N were met in letter and spirit.
The party leaders also asked the committee members to pressurise the government to make public the list of those who got their loans written off on political basis and recover the same from them.
"Those whose loans were written off on political basis are still playing in billions of rupees," the meeting observed. Nawaz also directed the committee members to continue apprising the media and masses of developments on the task assigned to them.
