Altaf slams Kohat twin bombings

LONDON: Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned twin bombings in Kohat tunnel, expressing deep grief over loss of precious lives in the incident, Geo News reported.

Terming the explosions ‘deplorable incident’, Altaf in a statement from London, said anti-Pakistan elements look to destabilize country. “They are the enemies of the state and innocent people of Pakistan”, he stressed.

Altaf appealed President, Prime Minister, CM KPK and Interior Minister to take strict notice of the incident and immediately bring the perpetrators to justice.

Late, he expressed condolence to the bereaved family, praying for the departed souls for eternal peace and everlasting harmony in life hereafter.

He also prayed for early recovery of injured persons and also prayed for the bereaved families that may Almighty give them courage enough to bear this irreparable loss.

It is pertinent to mention here that at least five people including two women were killed and another 19 injured when explosive-laden truck went off in a tunnel in Kohat on Friday night.

The tunnel has been closed for traffic for temporary time period.
