Skipper for World Cup to be named on Feb 4: Butt
PCB Chairman Ejaz Butt said that captain for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 in the Sub-continent will be announced on February 4.
Talking to media in Napier on Monday, Butt, however, refused to say whether it would be all-rounder Shahid Afridi or Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq.
The International Cricket Council’s Cricket World Cup 2011 is starting in India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh from February 19 and Pakistan is the only team which is yet to have captain for the mega event.
Butt also disclosed that India were willing to play a short series against Pakistan in England sometime this year.
