No money to purchase fuel for rails: officials | News Live Watch news daily geo pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Railways has asked the government to take responsibility of returning the foreign loans worth Rs16 billion borrowed by railways, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
The committee has also requested State Bank to waive off the loans worth Rs40 billion of the railways.
The committee approved charter of demand for the government regarding the Pakistan Railways.
Railways Minister and officials informed the standing committee that the ministry has yet to receive Rs11 billion bailout package announced by the cabinet.

It was further informed that the ministry has no money to buy fuel for running the locomotives from tomorrow
